Rock-A-Sonics
Rock-A-Sonics
The Rock-A-Sonics are an exciting rockabilly band led by young phenom, Willie Barry who is getting attention around the globe. They play a versatile mix of authentic rockabilly, vintage country, and atomic age rock and roll.

In January 2014 an extraordinary teenaged singer hopped a time machine from the fifties and landed on the doorstep of four Washington DC area rockabilly musicians. They initially got together just to play a single show (a Buddy Holly tribute), but quickly realized the combination should become a regular thing and the Rock-A-Sonics were born. Their deep playlist and variety of styles and tempos have made them a favorite of the DC/MD/VA/PA swing dance communities and Americana music fans everywhere.

The Rock-A-Sonics are playing regularly at clubs, carshows, dances, and street festivals throughout the mid Atlantic area. They've appeared nationally at the Viva Las Vegas rockabilly weekender in 2016 and 2017, the New England Shake-Up weekender in 2017, and twice at
Musikfest in Bethlehem Pa. plus classic car shows such as the Hot Rod Rumble, Mobtown Greaseball, Gasket Goons, and Jalopy Showdown.

Members of The Rock-A- Sonics have played with Marti Brom, Deke Dickerson, Collins Kids, Sleepy LaBeef, Jumpin' Jupiter, J.P. McDermott and Western Bop, the Hurtt Brothers, Four Star Combo, Pink and Black, Out Behind The Barn, Kiti Gartner, Natty Beaux, The Peashooters, Old Line Skiffle Combo, Daryl Davis, Bill Kirchen, Jake Starr and the Delicious Fullness, Nils Lofgren, and Ringo Starr.

Three part harmony vocals augmented by baritone banjo uke, searing electric guitar solos, backed by a unique rhythm section consisting of hollowbody electric, upright bass, and cocktail drums. Trumpet and baritone saxophone round out the mix, with the occasional fiddle. The band's music is a blend of modern and vintage sounds and styles, and their show is a high energy, raucous experience that has been wowing audiences at every festival, and venue they've played
