Pearl Street Warehouse Presents

Bobby Thompson Band Tribute to Derek & The Dominos Live at the Filmore

About This Event

The Bobby Thompson Band is excited to announce a tribute show to the legendary group Derek & The Dominos by presenting their Ocotber 24 1970 Fillmore East show in its entirely. The band, coming into Pearl Street Warehouse, features Ben Tufts (percussion, backing vocals), Christopher Brown (bass), Deren Blessman (drums), and Brian Simms (keyboards, vocals). After months of summer touring, The Dominos made it to New York City for two nights at the now-legendary Fillmore East on October 23 and 24 1970. Both shows were recorded, and eventually featured on the 1972 release In Concert. More recently, the shows have been remastered and the release was extended into Live at the Fillmore. These songs of heartbreak, love, and the blues, that would make it onto the Layla album released in late 1970, featured Eric’s sharp and clear guitar tone, and vocals matched by his band mate Bobby Whitlock.
