About This Event
Please join us as we welcome Laura Tsaggaris and her band The Mood Ring to our stage for show numer four of thier monthly residency. Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley, Maddi Mae opens the show.
Laura Tsaggaris (sah-GAIR-iss) is a singer, guitarist and songwriter. Her story begins in Pennsylvania where she grew up in the Pittsburgh area. College and a tennis scholarship brought her to Williamsburg, VA. She left that historic city with a love for another: Washington, DC. The nation’s capital laid the groundwork for her to grow into the influential musician she is today. She works to give back to her adopted hometown through the musical talents that have taken her far and wide. Laura’s 40+ songs and 5 records span the genres of folk, Americana, alt-country, blues, rock and pop.
Maddi Mae is a mountain woman from Virginia’s Shenandoah Valley, Maddi Mae now lives quietly in the hills. She has navigated a challenging life with a guitar in her hands and songs in her mouth. As a musician, Maddi has played over 500 shows in the past six or so years – solo and as a member of psychedelic and folk rock bands. Her latest release, a six-song record called Quiet Corners has garnered 75k streams on Spotify in just three months. Her original music is a hearty blend of old and new: a sprinkling of folky Americana and off-beat psychedelia, hints of folk and traditional ballads, heaps of classic country and indie pop.
