The Plate Scrapers originated in 2014 in western Maryland the way any good bluegrass band does: from a bunch of fellers pickin’ around in a circle, surrounded by delicious plates of food, strong libations, and good friends. The traditional spirit of The Plate Scrapers is still innately intact nearly half a decade later, though they have evolved into far more than your average bluegrass band. Through diverse backgrounds and influences ranging from jazz, to hard rock, to funk, the band has taken their music to an eclectic new level.

The Plate Scrapers’ songwriting is the identifying characteristic of the band. Complimenting writing styles from multiple members offer a tasteful balance and refreshing diversity to their sound, a diversity which they have become known for. Folksy lyrics of songs like “Shoes” or “Moonlight” call to a time of friendship, nostalgia and adventure, while songs like “Trucker’s Aspirin” or “Easy Way Out” are darker tales, gritty in nature.

Crafted musicianship and creative chemistry on stage guarantees that each performance is a new experience. More recently, the band has been known to take advantage of modern FX to enhance their traditional folk instruments, venturing over the borders of traditional Bluegrass into the rapidly growing genre of Jamgrass. Fans and critics alike agree that things are moving in a promising direction for The Plate Scrapers.  The Plate Scrapers released their newest studio album Destination Horizon in the summer of 2020 with rave reviews.  It debuted at #9 on the Bluegrass Billboard charts and has been their most successful release to date.

As classic as cast iron, as space-age as a flying car — The Plate Scrapers are serving up their own flavor of bluegrass by way of a winding wormhole through folk, jazz, and heavy metal dimensions. So grab yourself a thick slice of nostalgia, slap on a side of mind-bending originality, and top it off with some piping-hit pickin’, and let this hungry bunch “take you out of this atmosphere.

Rising Americana singer Danny Burns is back with his brand new single, “Many Moons Ago.” Serving as the first taste from the Irish-born hitmaker’s upcoming sophomore project “Many Moons Ago.”came out in Sept 2020, the track features Grammy-winning singer Sarah Jarosz on vocals as well as octave mandolin. As previously announced, the record will be released via Bonfire Music Group, who will handle marketing and distribution. Fans can download the haunting ballad HERE.

“‘Many Moons Ago’ took years to get the recording stages just right,” says Burns. “I couldn’t have been happier to work with the brilliant and talented Sarah Jarosz on this track. I was delighted and grateful to have her lend her veracity.”

“Many Moons Ago” picks up right where Burns’ critically-acclaimed debut North Country left off. With its edgy production and haunting melodies, the single is a perfect fit for fall, as the seasons begin to change. The singer took his musical talents to new highs, serving as the writer for the song, along with producing the recording at Galt Line Studio in Nashville, Tenn. To celebrate the release, Burns is also excited to reveal a special visualizer video for fans to watch, listen and feel the vibes from the epic track. Watch it HERE.

Burns burst onto the national scene with the release of his early 2019 debut album North Country. Two decades before releasing the project, Burns kicked off his career as a traveling Folk singer, logging shows on both sides of the Atlantic. He’s been on the road ever since, sharpening a sound that mixes the folk traditions of his native Ireland with diverse American influences. The collection turned many heads, securing praise and coverage in top publications like Rolling Stone, CMT, American Songwriter, Billboard, No Depression and more. The star-studded collection saw Burns teaming with top artists like Dan Tyminski, Tift Merritt, Holly Williams, Mindy Smith, Cara Dillon, Tim O’Brien, Critter Fuqua and ChessboxerNorth Country was accompanied by a major North American tour, which saw Burns performing at select cities in the United States including New York City, Washington DC, Boston, New Orleans, Nashville, Philadelphia and more.

The High & Wides project a big, driving sound—mountain musical traditions re-imagined for a new century. Formed on Maryland’s Eastern Shore in 2015 and with roots in both urban Baltimore and the rural Delmarva peninsula, they write music about arson and hourly motels, dystopian love songs, and ballads of violent history. The band draws on their backgrounds in bluegrass and weaves in influences from new wave to old time to make music that defies boundaries while evoking the era when country, western swing, and early rock’n’roll coexisted under the label “hillbilly music”.

Both 2018’s album “Lifted” and 2019’s “Seven True Stories” were greeted with critical acclaim and debuted in the Billboard Top 10 Bluegrass Album sales chart, and a third full-length album is on the way later in 2021..

Members are Marc Dykeman (guitar, vocals), Sam Guthridge (banjo, mandolin, vocals), Nate Grower (fiddle), and Mike Buccino (bass).
