Wil Gravatt has the sensibility of a musician who has explored and performed many styles.  A dichotomous journey from singing drummer  – to frontman for the popular country and western powerhouse Wil Gravatt Band.
A new album project in 2019 paired Wil with Grammy winner Ray Kennedy (producer of such stellar artists as Lucinda Williams,  John Mellencamp, & Taylor Swift) and Wil’s longtime producer Paul Royce Koch.  The album and the band were both WAMA finalists. The results are simply the best work Wil has done. One listen to the fiddle-laden, rollicking  “Carnival Girl” gives you a sense of the talent behind the songwriting, performance, and production of the entire album.

Wil is joined on stage by musicians of considerable pedigree: Steve Wolf (Danny Gatton, Chuck Berry) on bass, Jimbo Byram on steel guitar, Forrest Young on drums, Shannon Bielski on fiddle.
“From the Hank & Lefty school there have only been a handful of artists that I have had the fortune to work with.
Wil Gravatt and Paul Koch make a great team of musical excellence!”

– RAY KENNEDY (Grammy winning producer)

Katie Henry – The New Jersey songwriter might have started out banging on doors, braving New York’s blues clubs, playing piano until her fingers bled, and winning over the city one show at a time. But lately, the multi-instrumentalist has raced through career milestones at a rocket pace.

There was her Blues Blast and IBMA-nominated 2018 debut album, High Road. Her international breakout on Ruf’s 2022 Blues Caravan Revue. Her starburst of media acclaim, including Henry Yates of Classic Rock, NME, and The Guardian, saluted “a runaway talent you need to keep up with.”

Now, with the release of her second album, On My Way, Katie has found another gear. Whether slinging her trusty Gibson SG, hammering the keys, or hollering up a storm, these ten original songs, co-written with bassist and slide-guitar maestro Antar Goodwin, announced her as an alchemist who creates gemstones from the base metals of American roots.

Luke Winslow-King feat. Roberto Luti – If These Walls Could Talk Tour w/Daniel Lutz

Luke Winslow-King is a guitarist, singer, producer, and songwriter. Having spent more than 15 years in New Orleans, his work is an eclectic mix that combines Mississippi delta blues, folk music, traditional jazz, and roots rock & roll. His songs blend contemporary ideas with styles from bygone eras, producing a sound that is rustic, urbane, elegant, and entirely his own. Tuscan Slide Guitar Maestro Roberto Lutis unorthodox, angular, and evocative slide guitar style is based on Mississippi and Chicago blues and is influenced by soul and African roots traditions. During his nearly decade-long residency in New Orleans, Luti became an integral part of international recording project Playing For Change (PFC). He also laid the original track for One Love, Higher Ground, and Gimme Shelter, which has accumulated over 100 million YouTube plays.

Dana Cooper + Tom Prasada-Rao w/ Kyle Davis

Dana Cooper is an American singer-songwriter from Missouri. His awards include the 2014 Heritage Musician award from the Pilgrim Center for the Arts in Kansas City, MO and Folk Alliance International’s 2015 Spirit of Folk award. He has performed on Austin City Limits, Mountain Stage and at the Kerrville Folk Festival. Tom Prasada-Rao is a musician’s musician – an unassuming presence on the folk scene since the early nineties. His voice belies his musicianship and his extraordinary songs. From Rishis Garden with its homage to Ravi Shankar to the groove of Sleeping Beauty , Toms music is melodic, ambitious, and reverent. He’s starting to tour again after being featured last year on the nationally syndicated TV show Troubadour Texas.

The Currys w/ Dogwood Tales

The Currys have been staking their claim within the Americana music scene since 2013, when vocalist/guitarist Tommy Curry quit his teaching job and moved to Charlottesville, Virginia, to join the harmony-based folk-rock outfit newly formed by brother Jimmy Curry (vocals, guitar) and cousin Galen Curry (vocals, bass). The band, who cut their teeth playing the oyster bars and listening rooms of the Florida Panhandle, has since written and released two full-length albums: their studio debut Follow (2014), called eye-opening, but warmly familiar by Earmilk, and whose title track is one of the most beautiful pieces of music Ive ever heard (Todd Moe of NCPR); and sophomore effort West of Here (2016), with its tight-as-a-rubber-band harmonies and infectious songwriting (PopMatters).

Emma G. is an award-winning musician, author, and youth empowerment coach, I have had a lifelong battle with a rare neurological condition called hydrocephalus, so I understand trauma. I’ve been able to use music to recover from multiple traumas, including ten brain surgeries, by writing and singing my truth, sharing my experiences, and turning my lessons into blessings. I have a unique style that marries the styles of pop, soulful ballads, and a gritty rock edge.

I’m now on a mission to save the world one song at a time, not just through my own music, but also by coaching teenagers to channel their voices and struggles through the powerful tool of songwriting. We all experience trauma, but songwriting is an effective tool to not simply communicate your teenagers’ struggles, but to identify key issues, simplify overwhelm, find the right languaging to communicate their thoughts, and present their learnings, feelings and overwhelm in a way that is non-confrontational, authentic, and creative. Youth Empowerment through Songwriting coaching is the perfect way I combine my background as a teacher, lecturer, YMCA youth coordinator and – of course – a singer/songwriter.

Music is an incredibly effective tool for alchemy: helping audiences and teen songwriters alike overcome struggles, trauma, stress and overwhelm with songs of overcoming, resilience, self-love and stepping into one’s power.

Late Night Show w/ The Plate Scrapers **Free Show**

Please join us after the show at Anthem to keep the party going as we welcome The Plate Scrapers to our stage.

This is a FREE SHOW

Doors @ 11pm

Showtime 11:30pm

21+

The Plate Scrapers originated in 2014 in western Maryland the way any good bluegrass band does: from a bunch of fellers pickin’ around in a circle, surrounded by delicious plates of food, strong libations, and good friends. The traditional spirit of The Plate Scrapers is still innately intact nearly half a decade later, though they have evolved into far more than your average bluegrass band. Through diverse backgrounds and influences ranging from jazz, to hard rock, to funk, the band has taken their music to an eclectic new level.

The Plate Scrapers’ songwriting is the identifying characteristic of the band. Complimenting writing styles from multiple members offer a tasteful balance and refreshing diversity to their sound, a diversity which they have become known for. Folksy lyrics of songs like “Shoes” or “Moonlight” call to a time of friendship, nostalgia and adventure, while songs like “Trucker’s Aspirin” or “Easy Way Out” are darker tales, gritty in nature.

Crafted musicianship and creative chemistry on stage guarantees that each performance is a new experience. More recently, the band has been known to take advantage of modern FX to enhance their traditional folk instruments, venturing over the borders of traditional Bluegrass into the rapidly growing genre of Jamgrass. Fans and critics alike agree that things are moving in a promising direction for The Plate Scrapers.  The Plate Scrapers released their newest studio album Destination Horizon in the summer of 2020 with rave reviews.  It debuted at #9 on the Bluegrass Billboard charts and has been their most successful release to date.

As classic as cast iron, as space-age as a flying car — The Plate Scrapers are serving up their own flavor of bluegrass by way of a winding wormhole through folk, jazz, and heavy metal dimensions. So grab yourself a thick slice of nostalgia, slap on a side of mind-bending originality, and top it off with some piping-hit pickin’, and let this hungry bunch “take you out of this atmosphere.
