But jam-band isn’t even a box you can put the Thieves into, with heart-wrenching melodies, jaw-dropping harmonies, and songwriting capability far beyond their years, there is no way of knowing which direction they’ll go next, and no musical stone they’ll leave unturned.

The Kind Thieves debut record ‘Many A Thief’ was released in 2017 and continues to win new fans with it’s unforgettable hooks and sweet storytelling sensibilities.

Born from the rich culture of the Colorado mountains, The Runaway Grooms are bringing a refreshing take on contemporary jam band music. With pocket grooves, syncopated rhythms, and expansive tones, the band captures elements of funk and psychedelic rock while simultaneously celebrating traditional songwriting roots of Americana music. Dueling guitar solos, 3-part harmonies, and a screaming lap steel guitar, combine to create a unique soundscape that takes listeners through an experiential musical journey.

The Colorado based band formed when frontman, Adam Tobin, met guitarist, Zac Cialek, at employee housing for a ski resort. The two were joined by drummer and long time friend, Justin Bissett, shortly after and formed the original lineup of the band. Bassist/vocalist, Zach Gilliam, and keyboardist, Cody Scott, joined the band in November 2019. The addition of the new members helped catalyse the evolution of the band’s sound.

The band released their debut album ‘Tied to the Sun’ in March 2020 , The release was immediately followed by the global Coronavirus pandemic during which the band continued to develop and write music together. The newly written music contributed to the Groom’s sophomore album, Violet Lane, set to be released October 2021.

Moonshine Society is the offspring of three promising young music scholars who came together at Boston’s renown Berklee College of Music. Of like minds and musical passions, they united in 2009 to create their own brand of soulful blues, roots rock and old-school R&B- if a fundamental definition is actually required. In truth, they teamed to craft their own formula of music that speaks to the soul and defies the labels of traditional musical confines. The trio sealed their pact one moonlit night in the Anacostia Delta, where then and there, their name became written in the stars. They were to be Moonshine Society. Little did they know on that fateful night that they were buckled in on a launching pad set to rocket them at dizzying speed to performance destinations of their wildest dreams throughout the US and the world. In retrospect, though, it’s little wonder considering the band’s composition of killer talent, now four-plus strong. Leading the troupe is impassioned, soulful singer and songwriter Jenny Langer, who has shared the stage with such musical greats as Warren Haynes, Derek Trucks and Jack Pearson of Allman Brothers fame, Susan Tedeschi of the Tedeschi Trucks Band, Gov’t Mule and Jimmy Vivino from Late Night with Conan O’Brien. Part vamp and part glamour girl, she is all-commanding in her on-stage deliveries and becomes pure sorceress spellbinding audiences with her searing hot vocals. To quote from her sizzling seductive rendition of “Fever” -what a lovely way to burn.  Others agree.  In 2012, three members were inducted into the Blues Hall of Fame for their work with legendary harmonica player Charlie Sayles. They have opened for artists included Johnny Winter, George Clinton and Funkadelic, Tower of Power, Sister Sparrow, Junior Marvin & The Wailers, Lil Ed and the Blues Imperials, The Family Stone, Roomful of Blues, The Nighthawks, Mud Morganfield, WuTang Clan, Tab Benoit, Indigenous, Samantha Fish and more. Members have also performed and recorded with John Mayer, Warren Haynes, Susan Tedeschi, Derek Trucks, Danny Gatton, Brian Eno, Jason Ricci and more.  Locally in Washington, DC, the band and album have received Wammie awards for Best Blues Band and Best Blues Album and have repeatedly been named in Top Fan Favorite Lists in Washington, DC and Virginia.  See for yourself why this band is making waves in the international blues scene thrilling audiences at festivals with a fresh take on the classic American roots style.

Anthony Clark is a world class musician who has performed, and recorded with some of the best local and national blues acts. Musicians like Little Walter, Big Walter Horton, Paul Butterfield, and Sonny Boy Williamson, just to name a few.  The band has played up and down the east coast, from Pennsylvania, to Tennessee. His CD “LIVE” has been featured on many college, and Internet radio stations. The music is a blistering mix of contemporary blues with a funk edge.  Today you can see Anthony “Swamp Dog” Clark at various festivals and clubs opening for the likes of Chuck Brown, Deanna Boggart, and Betty Lavette

Maggie RoseThe third album from Maggie Rose, Have A Seat is the work of a phenomenally gifted artist showing the full extent of her power. After years of honing her chops and making her name as a force-of-nature vocalist, the Nashville-based singer/songwriter has dreamed up her own unbridled collision of rock-and-roll, soul, folk, funk, and R&B: a fittingly eclectic sound for a musician whose live experience includes opening for Heart and Joan Jett & the Blackhearts, touring as direct support for Kelly Clarkson, and festival appearances at Bonnaroo, Newport Folk Fest and Austin City Limits. Centered on the stunning vocal command she’s revealed in taking the stage at The Grand Ole Opry over 80 times, Have A Seat finds Rose approaching her music with more confidence and clarity of vision than ever, ultimately sharing a selection of songs both timeless and urgent. Have A Seat was critically acclaimed by Rolling Stone and American Songwriter as one of the “Best Albums of 2021”.

Erin & The Wildfire started as four college kids in Charlottesville, Virginia making music just for fun, but has grown into a flourishing, decade-long musical relationship among four best friends. E&TW, who now call Virginia’s capital city of Richmond home, have evolved their sound over the past ten years to where it currently stands firmly in the soul and indie-pop genres, drawing influences from a wide range of artists including Emily King, D’Angelo, YEBBA, Vulfpeck, and Donny Hathaway.

The band blends the expressive, powerhouse vocals of frontwoman, Erin Lunsford, with the pop, funk, and indie sensibilities of bandmates Ryan Lipps (guitar), Nick Quillen (drums), and Matt Wood (bass). In addition to the core four, E&TW has recently found a kindred musical soul in keyboardist Stephen Roach, who has played with the band since 2019.

Shakin’ Woods is an American Blues band founded in 2019 in the Washington, DC metro area.  The group began as an offshoot of Rich Russman’s debut solo CD,

First In Line.  Fellow founding member Paul Dudley, a veteran of the DC music scene, collaborated with Russman to craft a modern Blues project with the goal of writing, recording, and touring. Following a regular schedule of experimenting for several months with different ideas, the band added George Belton on bass and Austin Day on keyboards/guitar to complete the lineup.

The group has recorded 12 songs, released as 3 4-song EPs throughout 2020 and 2021.  Produced and tracked at Rich’s Bradshaw studios in Virginia, the band welcomed a great opportunity to hire industry giants Jack Douglas and Jay Messina for mixing and mastering.

The engine of the group is driven by Paul’s steady, yet energetic beats, coupled with George’s swampy, soulful basslines.  The guitars, provided by Rich and Austin, bring elements of Southern Rock and old-school Delta Blues.  Day also takes on added duties with exceptional keyboard work.   The members take turns at lead vocals, creating a nice mix of raw energy and haunting soul.

From the outskirts of DC, a group of young men with a mutual love of funk and pop came together to breathe sensuality into new original music. Starting with their 2021 debut single, “I Want You To Know”, Strutman Lane’s rhythm guitar hooks, warm vocals, and driving sax lines cater spiritual pocket grooves to the soul.

After three releases and a couple of viral Tik Toks, Strutman Lane has their sights set higher. Venturing into 2022, Strutman Lane takes on their biggest project yet: “The Bedroom Sessions”, an all original EP recorded and produced in Adam’s bedroom. With songs ranging from hard hitting road trip bangers, to reflective soul ballads best enjoyed over your morning cup of coffee, “The Bedroom Sessions” has something for everyone.
