Hailing from Cape Cod, Massachusetts, Crooked Coast distilled celebratory summers and bleak winter into a joyful explosion of indie rock riffs, reggae rhythms, hip hop flows and pop melodies. They cut their teeth and gained a die hard fan base grinding it out on the bar circuit. After selling out local shows consistently as well as touring the states and beyond they decided to produce and headline their own festival; 2019’s Coast-Fest. They sold out a 1,500 capacity bandshell. Their merchandise line expanded beyond their live shows and in 2017 they opened a brick & mortar Crooked Coast retail location/headquarters to showcase their popular clothing line and host events. After self producing a string of albums and singles they were heading to Hollywood, CA to record an EP with acclaimed producer/engineer Courtney Ballard (5 Seconds of Summer, Good Charlotte, The Used) when the pandemic hit. They holed up in their local studio and created the single Rise & Shine. Courtney heard it he wanted to mix it. The single debuted at #5 on the iTunes reggae charts. The result is the next level of Crooked Coast’s sound and a big step forward into the unknown.

One thing is clear when you hear SPOT. This is something new. Rooted in the familiar yet utterly unique, this nimble Power Trio creates their own brand of progressive roots music blending deep jazz, blues, rock/grunge, funk and psychedelia; often during the same song. Driven by Scott’s wildly unorthodox approach to the guitar, improvisation and songwriting; every concert is an entirely fresh experience. Playing festivals, theaters, taverns and nightclubs from coast to coast, they prove during every performance their dedication to the fact that making music is an honor and a gift.

From the outskirts of DC, a group of young men with a mutual love of funk and pop came together to breathe sensuality into new original music. Starting with their 2021 debut single, “I Want You To Know”, Strutman Lane’s rhythm guitar hooks, warm vocals, and driving sax lines cater spiritual pocket grooves to the soul.

After three releases and a couple of viral Tik Toks, Strutman Lane has their sights set higher. Venturing into 2022, Strutman Lane takes on their biggest project yet: “The Bedroom Sessions”, an all original EP recorded and produced in Adam’s bedroom. With songs ranging from hard hitting road trip bangers, to reflective soul ballads best enjoyed over your morning cup of coffee, “The Bedroom Sessions” has something for everyone.

The JoGo Project is a band from Washington, DC that fuses many styles of music, but with Jazz harmonies and a driving Go-Go beat at its core. JoGo was founded by DC Native and Jazz Saxophonist Elijah Jamal Balbed during a residency at Strathmore in 2014. Eight years later, The JoGo Project has become a mainstay in the DC music community and is dedicated as ever to keeping DC’s Go-Go music alive while also exploring new sounds and repertoire. Over the years, the band has written several original songs and created original arrangements of songs less-commonly performed in the Go-Go idiom such as “Free” by Deniece Williams or “Walking On Sunshine” by Katrina & The Waves, to name a few. In 2011 when Elijah was a Sophomore at Howard University, he received a life-changing call to perform with the Godfather of Go-Go – Chuck Brown. Elijah performed with Chuck from May of 2011 until the Godfather’s death the following year – May 16th, 2012. That year Elijah spent with Chuck instilled a new-found love for Go-Go music, which would forever influence his sound and approach to music. When it was time for Elijah to start a band of his own – he knew it had to be something that brought his Jazz and Go-Go worlds together. Hence, The JoGo Project. JoGo has branched outside of the DMV with performances at Club Bonafide (NYC), Silvana (NYC), Beyu Caffe (Durham, NC), The Vagabond (Richmond, VA), and many venues in and around the DC area such as Blues Alley, The Kennedy Center, The Soundry, and DC Jazz Festival (to name a few). In 2018 the band went on a cultural diplomacy tour to 3 cities in Russia (Moscow, Orenburg, and Yekaterinburg) on behalf of the U.S. State Department, where the musicians conducted educational masterclasses, participated in radio interviews and did performances ranging from intimate Jazz clubs to massive concert halls. In 2019, the band won a WAMMIE Award in the category of Best Go-Go Song for “Dear Draylen” composed by Elijah, with lyrics by JusPaul Spires and featured artist Wes Felton. In 2020, the band released their debut holiday track “JoGo Christmas” featuring Go-Go legend Sugar Bear. Since June of 2021, JoGo has maintained a monthly residency at the historic Jazz club in Baltimore – Keystone Korner. Most recently, Elijah was included in a published book called “DC Go-Go: Ten Years Backstage” by Chip Py – Chuck Brown’s last (and only) official photographer.

Since 2009, Eminence Ensemble has provided people from all walks of life with a sense of community, a safe space for expression, a needed break from the pressures of life, and a thrilling rush of adrenaline through complex, yet digestible music that bridges the gap between the jam-band and more traditional music scenes. The Colorado-based sextet, comprised of members Tanner Bardin [drums], Nick Baum [vocals, percussion], Wil Snyder [keyboard, synth], Zac Flynn [bass, synth, vocals], Dylan Gleit [guitar, vocals] & Justin Neely [guitar, vocals], has been steadily building their fan-base through explosive live shows featuring a unique conglomerate of genre-blending compositions. The archipelago of sonic worlds put forth by the band features elements of rock, funk, metal, electronic, soul, and hip-hop that together create an intricate foundation to be decorated by exploratory improvisational jams in a unique way, every show. Gaining their following first as a live band, Eminence Ensemble learned to capture the crowd with high-energy performances and large-scale production, with a light show just as dynamic as the music. Although they mainly thrive in the jam scene, the band is recognized and loved by fans of all genres. Eminence Ensemble has become known for their complex song structures, harmonized dual-guitar lines, heavy bass drops, dense vocal harmonies, and powerful percussion, both on stage and in the studio.  The sextet focuses most on creating a one-of-a-kind show for their fans each night. Every set list is carefully constructed to capture the vibe of the night, resulting in a continuous energy exchange between the band and audience that strengthens with every cycle. With over 400 shows under their belt, Eminence Ensemble has proven their worth in the scene, playing festival slots at Summer Camp, Electric Forest, Camp Bisco, Wave Spell, Euphoria, Gem & Jam, The Werkout, Same Same But Different, and many others.
