Jamtronic trance fusion quartet, Solar Circuit, creates a unique take on jamtronica trance fusion, with a relentless and dynamic controlled chaos cumulation of sound. Hailing from Philadelphia, PA, this group of friends and creators includes Becca LeVan (vocals/keys), Taylor Jamison (vocals/bass), Nick Orlove (guitar), and Rob Fray (drums/percussion). Every live show is an electronic journey through the band’s original catalog, textures, instrumentation, and vocals. Solar Circuit aims to excite and uplift the listener, to ignite a self-freeing experience. Solar Circuit’s sights are certainly full speed ahead, with studio content, a constant stream of live soundboard releases, writing new original music on a constant basis, nation-wide touring (including debut at The Caverns), and exciting festival appearances.
Soundwaves started in July 2021 when saxophonist Ben Green decided to start his own band with original material. Equally in love with the instrumental funk of Soulive, Galactic and the Meters as well as the funky alternative rock stylings of Rage Against the Machine, 311, and Incubus, Ben sought to create a band that fused those two styles. Since Soundwaves' inception in July of 2021, Soundwaves has played several major venues in the DMV including the 8x10, Ottobar, Baltimore Soundstage, The Recher Theater, The Pocket, The Pie Shop, and Jammin Java. Soundwaves has opened for touring acts Thumpasaurs and the Samples, and has shared the stage with more than 30 local bands and artists. In 2023, Soundwaves played the Lets Go Music Festival in Annapolis alongside Cold War Kids, Silversun Pickups, Lit and 311
