About This Event

The Currys have been staking their claim within the Americana music scene for years, cutting their teeth in the oyster bars and listening rooms of the Florida Panhandle, Brothers Tommy and Jimmy Curry and cousin Galen Curry have been praised for their “tight-as-a-rubber-band” harmonies and “infectious” songwriting. Their new release, This Side of the Glass, relies on those harmonies to provide the lived-in feel of roots music, but the album has ambitions, at times straying beyond the borders of the folk/singer-songwriter tradition. The trio shares songwriting duties, each in turn offering his take on the time-worn themes of life and love. Website  /  facebook  /  instagram  /  spotify  /  youtube   Brendan Lane has always been a musical person, growing up with a jazz musician father and surrounded by records as a child. When he discovered rock ‘n’ roll at the age of eight, that was it: his life had a singular pursuit and purpose. That purpose has led Lane around the world, performing on three different continents with various performers, which deepened his understanding of what it meant to be a performer. No matter where he performs or who he performs with, Brendan Lane strives to communicate his passion for music with the audience. Most recently, Lane completed an east coast tour with his band, Brendan Lane and the Sugar Packets, trekking from Massachusetts to Texas and reaching new audiences. Sharing his music with new audiences only reinforced Lane’s desire to play music as much as possible.
